How to develop and manage transport cooperation with the automotive sector | Interview with Bartosz Kujawa | Omida VLS

In the latest interview in our series on key people at Omida VLS, we would like to take a closer look at the profile of Bartosz Kujawa, Director of the Kórnik and Września offices. His experience and passion for the automotive industry have played a key role in the development of the company's specialized services, and the way Bartosz and his team approach challenges has won the respect of many customers from the automotive sector and beyond.

Beginnings and challenges when starting to work with automotive companies

Bartosz Kujawa shared the story of his department's first steps in the process of acquiring and servicing automotive customers, starting with occasional orders for the Volkswagen brand, currently handling a large volume of cargo for the entire group. The office's strategic location close to the customer, quick adaptation to changing needs and effective use of local contacts have allowed Bartosz to become a trustworthy partner and one of the people who have a real impact on streamlining transport processes, which require dedicated solutions and a lot of experience. "It's not easy to start a business and convince people of its quality, but it is easy to lose an opportunity among large customers, even by the smallest mistake".

Dedicated supply line for automotive

The crucial moment of cooperation with an automotive customer for Bartosz's division was establishing a dedicated line, which enabled maintaining the continuity of the supply chain in order to optimize the warehouse space, necessary for efficient production management. Gaining the full trust of a key customer after a period of testing on smaller orders, allowed the company to expand into a full range of services for the entire Volkswagen Group, including brands such as Audi, Porsche, Skoda and Scania. "What was crucial in starting the cooperation was on-time delivery. For stopping the production line for one minute, the penalty can be as much as 400 euros", Bartosz stresses, illustrating the importance of the responsibility placed on the shipping company.

Opening up to the world and new opportunities

The cooperation with the automotive sector has led to Bartosz's division working on global projects, including Germany and the Czech Republic. "Global companies carry out transport for Volkswagen all over the world, as they provide the quality required at this level and have an extensive logistics network, and therefore a wide range of services and specializations for each direction. As a result, they are able to meet a wide variety of needs and requirements", says Bartosz, pointing to the international reach of the opportunities this type of customer provides by including the logistics company in their list of regular partners. Specializing in a particular direction is an added value for contractors. It often plays an important role when selecting a provider, as it allows for a more precise understanding of needs and a more effective adaptation to requirements. Customers gain a guarantee and stability of delivery, and the company's specialization for specific types of cargo makes it possible to level the impact of external factors or random events on the delivery process.

Communication, flexibility, and punctuality!

The automotive sector requires not only excellent organization, but also quick response to changing conditions. Bartosz stresses that the key elements for success are communication, flexibility and systematic action. "By flexibility, I mean adapting to a given situation and being ready to find a solution in the shortest possible time", he explains. In an industry where any interruption in production generates costs, the ability to react quickly extremely important.

The secret of success - a department full of women

During the interview, we asked Bartek about the secret to the success, and in response we heard jokingly that his secret lies in the unique composition of his team, dominated by women. According to him, their intelligence and cleverness are a key element in the company's success. "Thanks to them, every challenge is manageable, and every project is carried out with the utmost care".

The path of Bartosz Kujawa and his division in serving the automotive sector is an inspiring example of commitment, passion and the ability to build lasting relationships. His story proves that accountability, backed by a team of exceptional people, is the foundation for success in this dynamic industry.

If you're looking for a partner who understands the challenges of the automotive industry and is ready to deliver solutions at the highest level, Omida VLS is ready to work with you.
